Q –How many panels are in a set?
A –One set includes eight (8) panels, eight (8) connector pins, ten (10) Straps, and one (1) Storage Bag.
Q –How big of a corral does one set make?
A –One set makes into a 10ft x 10ft square corral or a 13ft round Pen.
Q –How big is each panel?
A –Each panel starts out at 36in x 29in for storage. The panel then telescopes out to 4ft high by 5ft long.
Q –How much do the panels and corrals weigh?
A –Each individual panel weighs about 15lbs and the entire set, with hardware, in the carry bag, weighs about 125lbs.
Q –Isn’t 125lbs awful heavy?
A –In most parts of the country, it’s about the weight of a bale of hay. The carry bag comes with two big handles on each of the four sides of the bag. Usually, the bag is easily loaded, with two people, into the tack room of the trailer, or the bed of the truck. The bag is then left where it’s stored, and just the individual panels are removed and set up by a single person.
Q –Are these corrals made of PVC or aluminum?
A –Neither one! These are corrals are made of 1 ½” steel in order to make them as strong and durable as possible.
Q –What keeps the legs from filling up with dirt when being collapsed?
A –Each collapsible piece has a hard plastic sleeve to minimize dirt and debris from getting inside of the tubing.
Q –Will these panels rust up quickly if they set around for a while?
A –Each panel is completely galvanized inside and out. They are also Powder-coated for double protection against the elements. With just minimal care and cleaning, they should last for many years.
Q –Why only two rails instead of three?
A –There were a few reasons having to do with design and workability, but by far the most important reason was safety. With horses, putting three rails in the span of 4ft of height creates a situation where a leg or head could get caught between rails, resulting in a possible disastrous outcome.
Q –Do you sell extra panels to make the corrals bigger or if my horse happens to kick one?
A –We currently sell individual panels for $99 plus shipping. All other parts including; legs, rails, buttons, pins, and bags are also available.
Q –Do you make brackets for hooking the panels to the side of my trailer?
A –We do make brackets that attach to the trailer. They allow you to attach the Cart a Corrals to your trailer when they are set up. The brackets are available as an option for $29.95. That includes 3 Bracket Plates, and an extra pin.
Q –If I buy two sets of corrals, can I hook them together?
A –All the panels have two connector tubes on one side and one connector tube on the other. You can connect together as many as you want. Two sets make into about a 25ft round pen and three sets will make into about a 40ft round pen.
Q –What will keep my horses from just pushing this corral along to wherever they want to go?
A –A steel foot is welded to the bottom of each leg. Once each set of legs are strapped together, if a horse starts to push on the top of the corral, the eight sets of steel feet will dig into the ground, stopping the corral from being moved more than a few inches.
Q –What would stop my horse from just picking up the corral and walking underneath it?
A –Remember, these corrals are steel and weigh 125lbs when all put together. There is very little play between the panels when pinned. If your horse sticks it’s head under the lower rail and tries to pick the corral up, as soon as the corral gets about 3in off the ground, the horse has the cumulative weight of 125lbs on it’s head. We have not had any reports of horses that continued to pickup the corral any higher than that.
